About the Course

This course is for the beginner through to the more experienced. It will cover printing, stencilling, collage, drawing and painting to create an artwork. Knowledge and confidence will be gained with a variety of skills and materials. You will learn how to create mixed media artwork using these techniques  and new skills.


There will be both group and individual tuition. Most weeks you will complete an exercise and have a finished work. 


  • Drawing paper 250gsm

  • Patterned and coloured paper for collage.

  • Large white sheet cardboard

  • Pencil 2B for drawing

  • Coloured pencil selection artist quality

  • Oil pastels

  • Inks 

  • Large paint brushes

  • Old brush for spreading glue

  • Atelier Gel Medium or a quality glue for paper.

Rose Gilbey

Rose Gilbey

Rose Gilbey obtained her degree in Fine Art from the National Art School. Rose has taught at secondary school and TAFE and has exhibited works in both group and solo exhibitions. She is a multi disciplined artist with her main focus on Oil and Acrylic painting. However she also teaches a variety of art forms such as drawing, mixed media and print making and also has a keen interest and knowledge of Art History.
