Please read carefully before completing your enrolment and payment.
‘Class’ in the Terms and Conditions outlined here refers to any term course or workshop, delivered on the SCAC premises.
SCAC reserves the right to update the Terms and Conditions at any time. The Terms and Conditions, once published on this page, will be effective immediately.
Cancellation, Refund and Transfer Policy
Should an SCAC class have to be cancelled for any reason, such as insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class, credit or refund arranged.
Policy for Term Courses and Workshops
No Refunds
Fees are non-refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness. A small administration fee may be charged to cover credit card merchant fees.
If you choose to cancel a class, we do offer you the opportunity to receive a credit or to transfer your booking. Conditions apply, see below for more details.
Missed Classes
There are no transfers, credit, refunds or make up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change.
Student Substitutions for Workshops
If you have enrolled in a workshop that you cannot attend, you may transfer your enrolment to someone else. It is essential that you let us know prior to the workshop.
Student substitutions for Term Courses
If you are enrolled in a term course and if for any reason you are unable to attend a class during the term, you CANNOT give your place for the missed week/s to someone else. If the term has not yet commenced, you may transfer the whole of your enrolment to someone else. Please let us know prior to the course commencing.
Policy for School Holiday workshops
No Refunds
We do not provide refunds for cancellations or missed workshops. However, we do offer the opportunity to receive a credit or to transfer your booking. Conditions apply, please see below for more details.
Payment of Fees
Class fees are listed with the course details on our website. Payment of the full class fee via online credit card payment is required at the time of enrolment to secure your place. We accept Visa and Mastercard.
Discounts on fees
We do not offer discounts on fees, as we at SCAC strive to keep these low and affordable.
Gift Certificates
‘Purchased’ gift certificates are valid 12 months from the date of purchase or until the date listed on the certificate. Our Cancellation and Refund policy applies to ‘Purchased’ gift certificates used to pay for classes.
‘Complimentary’ gift certificates are issued from time to time as prizes for competitions and fundraisers. These are valid for 6 months from the date of issue or until the date listed on the certificate. No extensions will be given. ‘Complimentary’ gift certificates cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, special offer or gift certificate. The Gift Certificate cannot be used to purchase art materials.
No cancellations, transfers or credits are possible when a ‘Complimentary’ gift certificate is used to pay for a class.
Absenteeism
Fees are non-refundable, unless negotiated for an extended illness, and there are no transfers, refunds or make up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change.
Art Materials

Adult classes: Materials lists for classes are included in the class information on the websites. Students are required to supply their own art materials unless otherwise specified in the course or workshop description.

Kids and Teen classes: Materials are supplied and included in the fee for all children’s art classes and holiday workshops. Occasionally, a children’s class may require some additional items to be supplied by the student. This will be specified in the class description if so.
Marketing Material
From time to time the SCAC tutor or committee member will take photos during class of students and/or their artworks. These images are used for SCAC promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for SCAC. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos/images of you, your child or your artwork please notify your tutor.
Shared Space
The SCAC is a shared space and we expect students to respect fellow artists, artwork and property. It should also be noted that cleaning of your class art space and common areas is a shared responsibility.
Punctuality
Out of respect for other students and tutors, students are requested to be punctual for class. Children should be escorted to and from the art school by a parent or guardian, signed in on arrival and collected promptly at the end of class.
Occupational Health & Safety
If you have an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect your participation in a class, you should notify an SCAC committee member at the time of enrolment.
Privacy
Contact information you supply to SCAC will not be disclosed outside the school without your express consent, except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information that you may provide.
