Judith Yalden
Quilter, Dressmaker, Surface Pattern Designer
Judith completed teacher training in 1983 and has been teaching Textiles and Design in NSW high schools since 1984. She also completed an Applied Fashion Design and Technology Certificate in 2012 and Surface Pattern and Design training in 2022.
She has created garments and other textile works for stores in Sydney and private customers.
Judith’s areas of expertise include Patchwork, Applique, and Quilting; Pattern making, soft furnishings, fabric printing and dyeing and Embroidery (especially Counted Thread techniques). Originally trained in traditional techniques, Judith has explored a wide range of modern techniques, enjoys working with bright colours and is inspired by flora and traditional and cultural designs.
